The owners of this 1950’s colonial home sought an exterior refresh, in particular, to upgrade siding, windows, shutters and to add a covered porch.
To adjust the nature and proportions of the home, our architects gave special attention to the framing columns, adding a recessed panel for depth and balance.
A major upgrade to the home, the new front porch, was transformed from a flat, plain massing into a substantial and elegant structure.
The porch features a copper roof, bluestone stoop and new columns.
Copper details including the porch roof, gutters, downspouts, window headers and a cupola added interesting elegant details.
